ABOUT ME

13909426_10154434719313966_4485293240519711949_o.jpg
"I am a firm believer of the fact that musicians should be listeners in the first place."

I’m a Dublin-based violin and viola teacher and performer.

I offer in-person lessons in Dún Laoghaire and online music lessons, with a teaching approach tailored to each individual.

With over ten years of teaching experience, I have helped students achieve First Prizes, Gold Awards, medals, and special awards at international competitions. I also prepare students for Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM) examinations.

A particular strength of my profile is the combination of two formal areas of study — pedagogy and violin.

I studied Pedagogy at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, where I received the Prešeren Award, the highest academic distinction for students in Slovenia.

I completed my Diploma in Music in violin and viola with distinction at the Gustav Mahler Private University in Klagenfurt, Austria.

This dual academic background is one of the defining strengths of my teaching, allowing me to combine high-level musical training with a deep understanding of how students learn and develop, and to provide each student with individualised guidance tailored to their potential and goals.

Alongside teaching, I have an active performing background and have worked with professional orchestras and ensembles in the EU. I have also served as a jury member for Slovenia’s leading national competition for young musicians.

I believe great teaching is about more than playing the right notes — it is about helping each student become a confident, expressive, and independent musician.

MORE THAN MUSIC

Learning an instrument is about far more than learning to play.

A musical education is an investment in your child and the person they are becoming.

It nurtures qualities that can stay with a child far beyond the music lesson.

TESTIMONIALS

★★★★★ (Mateja V.)

Vita is an outstanding educator with a remarkable ability to help children discover the joy of music, even while learning such a demanding instrument.

My daughter studied violin with this exceptional teacher for two years, beginning at the age of six. In that short time, under her expert guidance, she received eight awards at international competitions—a true testament to the quality of her teaching.

Yet what matters most is not only the competition success, but the genuine love of music she inspires in her students.

I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking exceptional expertise combined with warmth, dedication and genuine care.

★★★★★ (Maja K.)

What our daughter valued most in her violin lessons was Vita's professional and dedicated teaching, her emphasis on discipline and structure, and her elegant approach.

Vita inspired her to develop her musical expression and helped her make significant progress through her own hard work.

As parents, we greatly appreciated Vita's expertise, high standards, and supportive relationship with our daughter.

We are deeply grateful for all the knowledge, encouragement, and strong musical foundations she gave to our daughter.
